Hi all.

Is the latest software update 1545 compatable with the parallel-usb adaptor. Our CX uses the parallel adaptor.

Kind regards Andy

Hi Mike.

I am having trouble installing the software version 1545.

Everything is ok with the installation but when I go to set up the usb to serial adaptor it just comes up saying cannot open com port 3. It is there in device manager and saying device working properly.

I have also tried uninstalling version 1545 and reinstalling version 1538 and all works fine. Any advice gratefully received.

Kind regards Andy

Further to the above, I have also found that if I unplug the usb-serial adaptor the error states no devices connected if I try to change the com port in the vismec window. As soon as I plug the adaptor back in it then allows me the option to change the com port to com 3 (the only one available) but then says cannot open com port 3.

Kind regards Andy

Hi

We recommend staying on build 1538 available under the machine specific Download tab on Software Downloads for all Serial (USB to Serial connections inclusive) controller machines.
